That does not mean I overlook the Dead’s immense influence on the Allman Brothers, nor their legendary early 70s partnerships.
The Dead’s influence on the Allman Brothers Band is an important subtext in Play All Night! Duane Allman and the Journey to Fillmore East.
Their relationship comes up quite often around here as well.
