Thanks for all that. I like reading different perspectives & opinions even when they're not positive, and then I like to hear responses by people who are equally knowledgeable.

Me too. Some folks really take offense at any mention of anything negative about the ABB. I think Whitlock is way off base, but he's the artist, not me. And we're both entitled to our own interpretation of the music.

Ultimately, Bobby loved Duane and I'm sure the feeling was mutual. I wish they had m ore time together.

Interesting analysis! As far as Duane’s improvisational skills, I would leave it at Liverpool at Fillmore East and Mountain Jam.

Thanks for this excellent tribute for a great musician, Bobby Whitlock. He will be missed. I'm going to see TTB in September. What I love about them is how the evolution of their music comes from Delaney and Bonnie, Derek & the Dominoes, the Mussel Shoals sound, The ABB...
