It may just be me, but I detect the movements of a symphony in "Mountain Jam." First movement is vigorous, dramatic and sets the theme. Second movement, song-like, calm establishes a contrast to the first movement. Third movement is a minuet or playful scherzo. Fourth movement triumphant, fast paced, reestablishes the theme.
Mountain Jam is my fav too. There's at least one at 45 minutes on some bootlegs.
