Wait, so Liz Reed's final "place" was just used primarily as a meeting place to keep Dickey B's extramarital goings-on more of a secret?

Yeah, pretty much. It was an ode to a brief, torrid affair named for the location they'd rendezvous in Rose Hill.

right? the origin story itself is interesting enough but that little detail is pretty mind-blowing

Two thoughts, for what they're worth:

1- I go through Macon regularly and have visited Rose Hill and the ABB gravesites and the rest of the cemetery. It's beautiful, and I feel somewhere between earth and the cosmos when I'm there.

2- I read that Wesleyan was the first women's college in the U.S.
