I toured the Church last January when I was in town and met Teresa as she was serving drinks from behind the bar. It is a pilgrimage most certainly worth the trip. Teresa is remarkable and has done an amazing job bringing in exceptional vintage gear and displaying memorabilia from the studio. It’s not only a studio, but a true museum of Tulsa music and culture, not to mention the Master of Space and Time himself.
I spend my life in this space—sustainable history organizations of all stripes and she’s pretty remarkable I gotta say. It’s incredible what they’ve done to the place. I’m well aware of the tremendous financial cost she bore in bringing that place to life. A real gift to Tulsa and the world actually.
Mike Campbell talks of the studio in his excellent autobiography, "Heartbreaker: A Memoir."
