Bok Tower & Babson Park: A Florida Homecoming in Memory, Music, and Place

This past Sunday, I arrived home to Tennessee after a wonderful 7-night, 8-day trip to my home state of Florida to write/record some music, see some friends/family, and gather my thoughts after a pretty hectic 2025.

I spent several hours in Lake Wales/Babson Park, Florida—where Dad grew up.

I took a lot of photos, which I set to “Detlef Schrempf” by Band of Horses1—a song that just felt right to me as I was scrolling the images.

These two missives from the road give context to my journey.

Greetings from Macon
